Comprehensive spatial point data on the source locations of more than 95% of all exports across 38 African colonies shortly before independence. The dataset disaggregates exports into nine groups of cash crops, 20 minerals and metals, as well as forest, animal and manufactured products. Each of the geocode production points represents an export value of approx. $300’000 in 1957 U.S. Dollars.
